Hondius zal aanmeren in Tenerife

MADRID (ANP/RTR) Het Nederlandse cruiseschip waarop het hantavirus werd vastgesteld, zal aanmeren in Tenerife, meldt de Spaanse zender TVE op gezag van het Spaanse ministerie van Volksgezondheid. De president van de autonome Spaanse archipel zegt tegen de komst te zijn en vreest voor gezondheidsgevolgen. Drie opvarenden van de MV Hondius kwamen eerder te overlijden, onder wie een ouder Nederlands echtpaar. De Wereldgezondheidsorganisatie vermoedt dat de Nederlanders het hantavirus voor hun terugreis naar Europa opliepen, en vervolgens een besmettingsketen in gang zetten aan boord.
