Dader moskee-aanslag verliest beroep

WELLINGTON (ANP/AFP) De dader van de aanslag op twee moskeeën in Nieuw-Zeeland heeft zijn hoger beroep verloren waarin hij probeerde zijn veroordeling en straf ongedaan te maken. Brenton Tarrant schoot in 2019 51 mensen dood. Hij bekende schuld en werd in augustus veroordeeld tot levenslang. Hij ging in februari in beroep tegen zijn straf en beweerde dat er "martelende en onmenselijke" detentieomstandigheden waren.
