Miljardensteun na Duitse overstromingen

BERLIJN (ANP/DPA) De Duitse politiek is akkoord met de miljardensteun voor de gebieden die in juli door zware overstromingen werden getroffen. Het fonds van in totaal 30 miljard euro is bedoeld voor het herstel van snelwegen, bruggen en andere schade door de watersnood. De Bondsraad, waar de zestien deelstaten in zijn vertegenwoordigd, heeft in navolging van de Bondsdag ingestemd met het herstelfonds. De premier van Rijnland-Palts Malu Dreyer belooft dat "niemand zal worden vergeten". Haar staat werd het zwaarst getroffen door de overstromingen, die in het westen van Duitsland circa 190 levens eisten. Dit jaar moet ongeveer 16 miljard euro van het fonds worden uitbetaald. De rest van het geld volgt de komende jaren.
