Macron erkent schuld kernproeven

PAPEETE (ANP/AFP) De Franse president Emmanuel Macron (links) heeft erkend dat zijn regering "een schuld heeft" bij Frans-Polynesië wegens nucleaire tests die Frankrijk uitvoerde op de eilanden van 1966 tot 1996.
Een formele verontschuldiging bleef uit. Macron is vier dagen op staatsbezoek in de archipel in de Stille Oceaan. Die hoort bij Frankrijk, maar heeft op meerdere terreinen wel zelfbestuur.
